Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Merchandiser in Illinois to price and set customer stores, working closely with the Merchandising Manager across a defined geographic area. The role may be permanent or a Sales Trainee as part of ongoing sales training.

Day-to-day duties include pricing, setting up layouts, arranging deliveries, and assisting with inventory and reimbursement forms. Reliable vehicle and driving to customer locations are required.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, self-starter & detail oriented.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the training of new fellow merchandisers on how to properly price and set customer shelving.
• Assists in creating customer store lay-outs upon request, placing the order via a telxon unit, arranging delivery to the store, and physically pricing and merchandising the product at the customer's store.
• Submits proper forms for employee re-imbursement, such as: travel, auto, gas, per diem, hotel, etc.
• Participates in company annual shows by setting up and tearing down of the convenience store displayed at the show.
• Records unsalable merchandise when re-setting customer stores, in order for customer to receive credit.
• Assists when necessary, in delivering and unloading of orders and returns.
• Assists the Merchandising Manager in maintaining inventory of all merchandising supplies, such as: mylar tags, peg hooks, price guns, labels, etc.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
