Job summary

Grocery Outlet is seeking a Retail Merchandiser to support store openings across the United States. You will travel weekly to assist with merchandising, brand standards, and setup for new stores, acting as a brand ambassador for Independent Operators and their teams.

The role reports to the Merchandising Manager and requires flexibility to travel 4–5 nights per trip, plus overtime as needed, with opportunities to learn about operations, merchandising, and project coordination in a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• Strong merchandising knowledge and ability to apply brand standards.
• Experience with store operations and fixtures is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel weekly to different locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in opening new stores and setting up shelves and fixtures.
• Guide Independent Operators and store teams on merchandising and standards.
• Construct and deconstruct store fixtures including shelving and racking.
• Unpack pallets and merchandise products on the sales floor and stockroom.
• Maintain clean layouts and meet tight timelines; coordinate travel logistics.
• Handle admin tasks such as expenses, flights, time sheets, and emails.
• Communicate clearly with IOs, operators, and vendors.
