Job summary

Gulf Distributing Holdings, LLC is seeking a Merchandiser to ensure product merchandising meets company standards across assigned accounts. Responsibilities include completing merchandising calls, building displays, stocking products, and ensuring proper POS usage.

The role requires maintaining strong relationships with store staff, monitoring pricing, and ensuring safety and policy compliance on all routes.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of assigned sales routes is preferred.
• Strong merchandising and display placement abilities.
• Ability to lift and move product up to 50 lbs and operate hand trucks.

Responsibilities

• conduct merchandising calls on all assigned accounts in the established sequence.
• merchandise products per Gulf Distributing Holdings standards.
• build, merchandise, and sign displays as directed by management.
• fill and merchandize the complete product line including cold zones and displays.
• ensure proper use of Point of Sale materials.
• call back on accounts to assist or complete merchandising.
• complete special attention items identified by Salespeople or General Manager.
• maintain positive relationships with account staff and owners.
• look for opportunities to increase sales in assigned accounts.
• monitor pricing of competitive products and report variances.
• improve shelf position within coolers and placement of floor displays.
• demonstrate genuine interest in each account's business success.
• attend safety and driver’s meetings and sales meetings.
• keep communications open with GDH and account staff.
• report new competitive activity to the Manager.
• communicate if a merchandising stop cannot be completed as scheduled.
• ensure stock rotation is in effect in all accounts.
• after duties, check with Manager for other assignments.
• ensure all packages are sellable and damaged products swapped or repacked.
• keep vehicle clean and serviced to minimize breakdowns.
• dress and maintain a professional appearance per company policy.
• operate and return all issued equipment properly.
• follow all company policies and report any traffic incidents.
• comply with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
• report accidents and injuries immediately to the Manager.
• perform all work in accordance with safe work practices.
• all other duties as assigned.
