Job summary

The Odom Corporation is seeking a diligent merchandiser to perform daily visits to customer locations in Anchorage, stocking and rotating products, building displays, and ensuring items are presented according to planograms. You will document stock movements and assist in increasing visibility of brands.

Applicants should be at least 21, have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, a clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Must have valid Driver's License.
• Must have proof of insurance.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Must have your own reliable means of transportation for getting to and from accounts.
• Should be physically capable to lift cases and display units which are sometimes in excess of 70 pounds on a repetitive basis.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Prior retail stocking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily visits to Odom customer locations to merchandise and maintain products through stocking, rotating, and building displays.
• Accurately documents the amount of products received or distributed or set aside due to damage or being out-of-date.
• Builds displays according to Supervisor/Sales Representative’s directions.
• Stocks and rotates products from back stock stored on customer locations.
• Stock and rotate merchandise on the floor, in coolers, bins, shelves, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type.
• Works to increase the company’s share of display space, cooler space, shelf space, and overall visibility for our brands.
• Examines stock to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Hangs interior/exterior point of sale advertisements at account locations.
• Builds merchandising and promotional kits.
• Displays promotional materials, such as POS and signage according to company and store policies.
