Job summary

Advantmed is seeking enthusiastic Medical Records Technicians for a part-time, seasonal role in New Orleans. Technicians will travel to various medical facilities to scan patient records, maintain organized digital files, and ensure HIPAA compliance.

The position offers mileage reimbursement, travel expense coverage, and a daily food allowance when traveling out of state. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, own a car with active insurance, internet access at home, and be available

Qualifications

• Experience with Electronic Health Records/EMR platforms (Epic/Cerner/Meditech) preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a record system for patient information and documents.
• Use electronic systems to collect, organize, and manage data.
• Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and properly organized.
• Create digital copies of paperwork and store records electronically.
• File paperwork and reports quickly and accurately.
• Ensure HIPAA standards and confidentiality guidelines are followed.
• Interact with healthcare staff and other medical personnel.
• Assist with driving to facilities when required.
