Job summary

Amg-Senior-Medical-Group is seeking a Field Medical Assistant to join the clinical care team. The role supports providers during visits to patients at homes, assisted living, and independent living facilities, preparing patients for exams and assisting with procedures.

You will collect vitals and medical history, perform point-of-care testing and EKGs, document in the EMR, and assist with care coordination across sites. Travel throughout the service area is required.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA/NCMA) preferred.
• EMT license also qualifies.
• Current BLS certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accompany providers on daily patient visits in homes and facilities.
• Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vitals and updating medical history.
• Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
• Perform point-of-care testing and EKGs as delegated.
• Document patient information in the EMR during or after encounters.
• Coordinate care by relaying orders and scheduling follow-ups.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and provider bags for daily visits.
• Observe changes in patient condition and report to providers.
• Maintain HIPAA, infection control, and OSHA compliance.
