Job summary

SpaceXAI is seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the buildout and operation of our high-performance data centers. In this hands-on role, you will perform mechanical general labor and field support to keep construction and commissioning moving for our AI supercomputing infrastructure.

You will collaborate with mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and operations teams to stage materials, assist installs, and maintain a safe, productive jobsite from construction through turnover.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or mechanical-helper experience, or equivalent military experience.
• Willingness to work at heights, outdoors, and on a changing construction site.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment safely.
• Strong safety mindset and willingness to follow site procedures.
• Willingness to work extended hours, nights, and weekends during critical construction windows.

Responsibilities

• Stage, move, and inventory pipe, valves, hangers, insulation, tools, and equipment; keep laydown yards and mechanical rooms orderly.
• Assist skilled trades with hanging strut, supports, lagging, insulation, bolt-up, and simple mechanical assembly under direction of a lead technician or journeyman.
• Support equipment set for pumps, cooling towers, air handlers, and related mechanical gear, including cribbing, alignment assist, and housekeeping.
• Open and close work areas: protection, debris removal, scrap segregation, and end-of-shift reset so the next crew can start immediately.
• Fetch tools and materials, run parts between warehouse and field, and keep consumables stocked.
• Follow LOTO, PPE, and permit rules; do not work on live systems without authorization.
• Report damaged material, unsafe conditions, and drawing conflicts immediately.
• Support punch-list work and cleanup through system turnover.
