Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is seeking a Mechanical Technician in Houston, TX to perform mechanical maintenance on pumps, motors, valves and engines, ensuring safe and productive equipment operation.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Technical certification or equivalent training in a mechanical environment is preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of mechanical experience; 5+ years of gas-fired, engine-driven compressor experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
• Experience with reciprocating engines and associated components is required.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, reports, and codes.

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance of centrifugal pumps and electric motors (bearings, seals, alignments, couplings, sumps, fans, etc).
• Maintenance on block/control valves, air compressors, valve actuators, etc.
• Maintenance and repair of reciprocating engines and components.
• Assist with replacement of pumps, motors, valves, and other equipment including foundation work and startup.
• Participate in training programs, process safety reviews, and safety meetings to comply with regulations.
• Meet Operator Qualification requirements or work under qualified supervision.
• Review procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Complete time records and regulatory reports accurately.
• Maintain contact with Area Supervisor regarding maintenance trouble reports.
• Optimize work to minimize overtime.
• Perform remedial and preventative maintenance and maintain housekeeping.
• Cross-train to develop skills in related areas.
• Utilize precision tools and test equipment as needed.
• Respond to emergencies as part of area response team.
• Perform inspections and supervise contractor work as needed.
• Train others to learn mechanical technician duties.
