Sulzer is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer for our Pasadena, TX electromechanical service center. The role is primarily on-site, with time split between hands-on work, shop inspections, precision measurements, and engineering documentation, plus occasional field service up to 40%.

You will serve as the technical point of contact for customers and coordinate with the repair shop and quotation teams to drive heavy rotating equipment repairs from teardown to assembly.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience with rotating equipment is preferred.
• Familiarity with vibration analysis or diagnostics is a plus.
• Comfort with precision measurement tools is required.

Aufgaben

• Support shop and field operations for rotating equipment inspections, teardowns, repairs, and overhauls.
• Define precise repair scopes in collaboration with the machine shop and quotation teams.
• Perform/verify measurements with micrometers and calipers and document findings.
• Create/update CAD drawings to document changes for customer review.
• Act as the primary mechanical contact for customers during inspections and evaluations.
