Job summary

Chevron is seeking a Midstream Mechanic for a field-based role in Keene, North Dakota. You will perform routine maintenance on rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, engines, and motors, with safety and reliability as priorities.

You will collaborate with engineering, planning, and supply chain teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance in a midstream gas gathering operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Proficient in inspecting, repairing and maintaining gas/air compressors, pumps, engines, and motors.
• Experience with gas processing terminology and equipment concepts.
• Ability to read P&IDs, PFDs, schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair gas compressors, air compressors, pumps, engines, fans, and valves.
• Inspect equipment for vibration, leaks, noise, wear, and corrosion.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance per PM schedules.
• Troubleshoot performance issues on compressors, pumps, engines, and control systems.
• Coordinate with technical specialists, engineering, planning and supply chain.
• Perform alignment, seal replacement, and lubrication tasks.
• Document work orders and report to reliability program contacts.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and coach others in safety on site.
