Job summary

Lime in Texas is seeking In-Field Mechanics to maintain our fleet of shared vehicles. This hands-on role focuses on on-the-ground maintenance, safety checks, and rapid repairs to keep scooters and bikes operational.

You will perform preventive maintenance, document battery status, assist with parts inventory, and support deployment and retrieval in the local market, including field customer assistance and occasional van operation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver license and good driving record.
• Previous experience in a similar role involving vehicle maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg on a frequent basis.
• Knowledge of cell phone applications; iOS experience preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational compliance of fleet and complete quality checks for deployment.
• Perform basic maintenance in and out of warehouse.
• Follow safety procedures to keep Lime riders on safe vehicles.
• Support battery management with accurate documentation and checks.
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards.
• Maximize operational vehicles by efficient task completion.
• Safely operate pallet jack or push cart regularly.
• Identify issues and perform small field repairs (brakes, tires, cleaning).
• May manage parts inventories including PAR levels and demand forecast.
• Monitor zones with on-foot patrols for parking compliance and tidiness.
• Detect and report on-ground service and product anomalies.
• Assist customers in the field as needed.
• Safely operate a van for deployment and retrieval of Lime EVs.
