Field Mechanic III

Hiring Immediately; Pay Dependent on Experience, typical range $27 - $33 per hour; PAID WEEKLY!

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday with occasional rotating on-call schedule

Typical Shift: 7AM - 5PM (Overtime eligible)

Position Requirements

Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.

• A minimum of 3 to 7 years' experience as diesel mechanic, with construction, heavy equipment, or equipment rental background.
• 2 years of prior experience as a Field Technician preferred.
• You must have the required tools to perform repairs in this line of work.
• Experience with diesel and gas engines as well as drive trains is required, Tier 4 engine and SCR & DPF aftertreatment systems preferred.
• Experience performing routine preventative maintenance, major, and minor repairs on hydraulic, electrical, ignition, and pneumatic systems is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics skills; experience with electrical, hydraulic, fuel systems, ignition, and drivetrain.
• A DOT medical card is required - don't have one? We can help you get yours.
• Clean driving record, as you will be driving a field service truck; maintaining a safe driving record is a top priority.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Must be open to covering the territory radius in Bradenton; based in a field territory repairing equipment on customer job sites.
