We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Mechanic to join our growing company. The Mechanic's responsibilities include assembling, setting up, adjusting, maintaining, repairing, and welding equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Operate equipment units temporarily for adjustments.
  2. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance to extend equipment service life.
  3. Be familiar with lubrication, paint & bodywork, machine shop practices, injector-governor systems, water-cooled engine rebuilds, transmissions, rear-ends, air-cooled engines, and heavy equipment parts.
  4. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of construction techniques.
  • 1 to 3 years of mechanic experience.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • DOT experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

The physical demands include handling, feeling, or operating objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms. Frequent standing, talking, and hearing are required. Occasional walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting, and smelling. Employees must often lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, typically involving 40+ hours per week. Availability on-call during early/late hours is required to handle delays, weather issues, and emergencies.
