Job summary

Austin NAWIC is seeking a skilled equipment technician to analyze malfunctions, repair, rebuild and maintain a range of construction machines on-site in Dallas. You will diagnose defects by inspecting equipment, replace engines/subassemblies, and test performance to ensure safe operation.

A team-oriented environment requires precise tooling use and adherence to safety and quality standards. Candidates should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment, possess micrometers

Qualifications

• Must have strong trouble-shooting and repair skills on construction equipment.
• Experience in diagnosing mechanical/electrical malfunctions is required.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Analyze malfunctions and perform repairs, rebuilds and maintenance on construction equipment.
• Operate and inspect machinery to diagnose defects and ensure safe operation.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Replace defective engines and subassemblies; test equipment after service.
• Direct or assist coworkers in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly.
