Job summary

Hirebridge is seeking a Field Mechanic to join our Byron, GA team. You will maintain and repair mobile heavy equipment and support plant maintenance, ensuring safety and reliability of operations.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED, hands-on heavy equipment experience, and a working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and basic electrical systems. We offer hands-on training and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Technical training or hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
• Experience with diesel and gas engines is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication) on heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs and report major issues to senior mechanics or supervisors.
