Join a dedicated team serving the tri-state area (PA, WV, OH) as a Field Mechanic, where your expertise in diesel and hydraulic construction equipment will keep essential projects moving forward. This role offers the opportunity to work independently in the field, traveling to various job sites to maintain, diagnose, and repair a wide range of heavy equipment. Responsibilities

• Travel to local job sites within the tri-state area to provide on-site maintenance and repair for construction equipment.
• Operate and drive a mechanic’s truck (under CDL) equipped with crane, welder, and compressor.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel and hydraulic systems on equipment such as skid steers, excavators, dozers, crawler carriers, and trucks.
• Perform on-site fabrication and modifications as needed to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
• Inspect and monitor equipment to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with field staff and management to prioritize repairs and ensure minimal equipment downtime.
• Document maintenance and repair activities, reporting results upon completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support field operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel and hydraulic mechanics.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other trade-related equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Must provide own tools for the trade.
• Valid Driver's License (Class C) required; CDL Class A or B is a plus.
• Hydraulic and Mechanic Certification is a plus.
• Physically able to reach, stoop, bend, and lift/carry/move up to 80 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and concentrate in busy, noisy construction environments.
• Willingness to travel locally as required by company policy.
