Job summary

Quikrete is seeking a Fleet and Plant Mechanic in Albany, GA to maintain and repair mobile heavy equipment and support plant maintenance. Responsibilities include routine servicing, diagnostics, and documentation of work performed.

A valid driver's license and experience with diesel/gas engines are required. You will troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, use tools like JPRO/PPT, and perform repairs on mixer trucks and other heavy-duty equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of technical school or hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
• Experience repairing diesel and gas engines.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and electrical repair skills.
• Experience welding is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication) on heavy equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs and report major issues to seniors/supervisors.
• Maintain hydraulic systems to ensure proper operation and minimize downtime.
• Use diagnostic tools like JPRO, PPT and scan tools to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Operate company vehicles as needed with valid license and clean driving record.
• Inspect, maintain and repair mixer trucks and other heavy equipment across various types.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical systems focusing on electrical components, wiring, sensors and control modules.

We are looking for a FLEET AND PLANT MECHANIC to join our team in Albany, GA. As a Fleet and Plant Mechanic with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mobile heavy equipment and supporting plant maintenance.

About the Role

• Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mixer trucks and other heavy-duty equipment, applying experience across various truck and equipment types.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical systems with a focus on electrical components, including wiring, sensors, and control modules.

About You

We Require

• A minimum of one year of technical school training or equivalent hands‑on experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
