Job summary

HF Sinclair Midstream is seeking a Measurment Technician to perform intermediate measurement duties ensuring accurate delivery of crude oil across truck, pipeline and refinery LACT systems. The role requires compliance with state and federal regulations and involves field work with up to 50% travel.

Preferred qualifications include a technical or Associate’s degree, plus at least three years of on-the-job experience. Strong math, spreadsheet, and communication skills are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of on-the-job experience in measurement operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/associate degree preferred.
• Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations and basic programming of CBT.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all operations conform to State and Federal regulations (DOT, OSHA, BLM).
• Witness meter proving and manage flow metering systems and LACTs.
• Measures and grades crude oil receipts and deliveries by truck, pipeline and refinery LACT.
• Balances volumes and maintains accurate daily reports and cost-effective operations.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and ensures all measurement devices operate properly.
• Assists with design and setup of new delivery locations.
• Coordinates with drivers and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Travel up to 50% in field-based role; observe and train staff as needed.
