Job summary

HF Sinclair Midstream is seeking a Measurement Technician to perform intermediate measurement assignments and oversee the accurate and timely movement of lease crude oil in compliance with state and federal regulations. You will witness meter proving, monitor LACT systems, and coordinate with drivers and management to keep operations on track.

The role requires at least three years of on-the-job experience and a high school diploma; technical or associate degrees are preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations (i.e. algebra) and proficiency with spreadsheet and word-processing software applications.
• Good mechanical ability and understanding of operational principles of assigned area’s testing instruments.
• Intermediate reading and writing skills, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.
• Ability to complete all required classroom and CBT training.
• Ability to achieve high proficiency scores.

Responsibilities

• Witness Meter Proving.
• Measure and grade crude oil receipts and deliveries by truck, pipeline and LACT.
• Balance volumes between load and delivery point in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure all measurement devices are operating.
• Performs quality control checks to ensure integrity and accurate measurement at point of purchase.
• Assists with design and sets up new delivery locations.
