Job summary

CMT Technical Services is seeking Field Materials Testing Technicians to join our team in St. George, UT. This position offers hands-on field work, with lab training as needed, supporting construction materials testing for soils, concrete, and asphalt.

You will prepare daily reports, follow procedures, and operate testing equipment. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors; drug testing is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Strong attention to detail and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Perform field tests on construction materials (e.g., soils, concrete, asphalt).
• Verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.
• Accurately complete daily field reports and datasheets.
• Follow testing procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment and company vehicle.
