Five Star Infrastructure Services is seeking a Field Material Coordinator Foreman to oversee material receiving, storage, and distribution across yard locations in Northern Wisconsin. You will ensure accurate, timely handling of shipments and coordinate with warehouses and suppliers to maintain inventory levels.

The role requires a Class A/B/C CDL, a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior material handling/delivery experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process shipments; verify shipping documents.
  • Safely move yard items using power equipment as needed.
  • Work in a safe environment and handle materials per guidelines.
  • Coordinate with warehouses and suppliers to monitor inventory.
  • Count items for receipts; assist in physical inventories.
  • Operate a motor vehicle to deliver shipments to satellite locations.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Identify issues and propose solutions to improve operations.
  • Maintain clean and orderly yard areas.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Job description

The Field Material Coordinator Foreman is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products within yard locations throughout Northern Wisconsin ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Receives and processes shipments from outside vendors; checks shipping documents for accuracy.
  • Safely and efficiently handles and moves yard items using power equipment as needed.
  • Performs work in a safe environment as well as meets safety and environmental handling of products, packaging, and any other related items.
  • Coordinates with corporate warehouse and external suppliers to communicate inventory levels for purchasing.
  • Counts items for proper receipt of orders; assists in physical inventories.
  • Operates a motor vehicle to deliver shipments to satellite locations.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively.
  • Identifies operational issues and recommends/implements strategies to resolve problems.
  • Recognizes and maintains best housekeeping practices throughout each yard.
  • Works within a continuous improvement culture.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Possession of a Class A,B,C CDL is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience working in a materials receiving/delivery role required.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license as travel is required.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for service.
  • Basic knowledge of material handling procedures and techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of gas and electric materials preferred.
  • Ability to operate various material handling equipment (forklift, telehandler, etc.).
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.).
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to read/write and interpret documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to be self-motivated to perform all required tasks of a material handling professional.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical motions of bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, and lifting.
