Job description

Smartsheet is a tech company with a human story to tell. We're here to empower teams to manage projects, automate workflows, and rapidly build new secure solutions, using simple no-code tools. We're revolutionaries - so for us changing the way the world works is all in a day's work.

The Smartsheet North America Field Marketing team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced cross-functional marketer to work closely with sales and marketing leadership, global teams, external customers/partners, and agencies to create events, high impact experiences, campaigns and programs that elevate the Smartsheet brand, build pipeline and maximize customer engagement.

As a Field Marketing Manager in our Go-to-Market (GTM) organization, you will manage all aspects of our field activities from inception to execution. Activities may include priority account-focused initiatives, regional summits, leadership roundtables, webinars, vendor fairs, and in-market trade shows. While events will be the primary focus, this role also requires a versatile marketing skill set to support additional projects and programs. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next phase of growth for Smartsheet.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Field Marketing North America and can be based in our Bellevue, WA office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.

You Will:

  • Partner closely with the Enterprise Sales team, participating in leadership syncs, team meetings, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and strategic alignment discussions.

  • Plan, develop, and execute a portfolio of events, including leadership roundtables, summits, account-based marketing type events, user groups, trade shows, and other field engagements.

  • Develop and manage integrated campaigns and supporting initiatives to drive attendee interest before the event and support post-event nurturing.

  • Track and report on event performance, including marketing-qualified leads (MQLs), pipeline impact, and sales follow-up. Collaborate with sales on incentives and SPIFFs to support lead conversion.

  • Conduct post-event analyses to assess effectiveness, generate insights, and recommend improvements.

  • Oversee all logistical aspects of events, such as venue selection, budget management, registration, attendee communications, speaker management, content development, materials, and onsite execution.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement multi-touch, integrated marketing programs aligned with regional objectives, revenue goals, and corporate initiatives.

  • Represent Smartsheet's core values through effective collaboration and leadership in field marketing initiatives.

  • Travel within the U.S. and Canada for event execution as required.

  • Support other projects or programs, as assigned.

You Have:

  • At least 8 years of marketing experience, with an emphasis on planning and managing events.

  • Proven ability to conceptualize and execute unique, high-impact activities and campaigns that drive engagement among existing and prospective customers and sales teams.

  • B2B marketing experience is essential; experience in SaaS or cloud software marketing is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated expertise in executing events across in-person, hybrid, and virtual formats.

  • Extensive cross-functional collaboration experience; a strong team player.

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • A positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude with enthusiasm for new challenges.

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a focus on Marketing or Business.

Current US Perks & Benefits:

  • HSA, 100% employer-paid premiums, or Buy-up medical/vision and dental coverage options for full-time employees

  • 401k Match to help you save for your future (50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of your eligible pay)

  • Monthly stipend to support your work and productivity

  • Flexible Time Away Program, plus Sick Time Off

  • US employees are automatically covered under Smartsheet-sponsored life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability plans

  • US employees receive 12 paid holidays per year

  • Up to 24 weeks of Parental Leave
