Job summary

Engle Martin is seeking a Marine Surveyor in the Norfolk, VA area for field-based marine survey work. You will perform loss-control surveys, prepare concise reports, and coordinate with clients while traveling as needed.

This role supports claims and risk management across marine policies. The candidate should have marine surveying experience, strong investigative skills, and readiness to pursue NAMS or Lloyds credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years ocean marine surveying or related marine insurance work, or maritime college graduate with merchant marine licensure.
• Experience with cloud enterprise software solutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete survey tasks within the assigned scope.
• Manage a limited caseload in marine surveys.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams for timely surveys.
• Conduct surveys within territory; travel/overnight stays may be required.
• Produce clear, accurate reports per standards and SLAs.
• Engage in peer reviews and track time/expenses accurately.
