Job summary

DDG is seeking a Marine Survey Instrument Operator to join the Lafayette office. The role reports to the Survey Lead and is non-exempt under the FLSA with 90% travel. You will clean, calibrate, and operate all survey equipment while supporting office and field staff with equipment management and supply levels.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Working knowledge of computers is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist a surveying or construction crew in assessing the topography and geography of a building site or parcel of land.
• Calibrate and operate a variety of specialized surveying equipment, such as Robotic Total Stations, GPS, and other miscellaneous survey tools.
• Collect data and report back to builders, contractors, or survey leaders.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with all staff and clients.
