Job summary

San Diego County Water Authority is seeking Maintenance Worker I/II to support the aqueduct system, facilities, and properties. The role involves hands-on maintenance, installation, repair, and preventive work on pipelines, buildings, and grounds.

You will operate various vehicles and tools, perform concrete and carpentry tasks, and assist with HVAC and plumbing systems. A strong construction background and safety mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade plus one year of utility/public works maintenance experience.
• Experience with general construction trades is a plus.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair of aqueduct pipelines, facilities and related equipment.
• Operates light and medium equipment; conducts basic concrete, carpentry and plumbing work.
• Assist in maintaining roads, buildings, grounds and rights-of-way; support after-hours emergency response as needed.
