Job summary

OceanaGold is seeking a Maintenance Shift Supervisor for the Haile Gold Mine in the United States to ensure safe and efficient maintenance execution on loading and drilling equipment. The role involves coordinating with mobile maintenance teams and other departments on a rotating schedule.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in mining maintenance, 2 years in a supervisory role, and hands-on experience with Komatsu PC 3000/4000 and CAT large equipment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of technical experience in mining maintenance with loaders, shovels, drills
• 2 years in a supervisory or equivalent role
• Direct hands-on experience with Komatsu PC 3000/4000 and CAT large equipment

Responsibilities

• Review and direct technicians on scheduled/unscheduled repair activities
• Discuss upcoming schedules and plans with peers
• Coordinate with operations supervisors/dispatcher for all scheduled activities
• Assign and distribute work order packages with standard plans and labels
• Spend at least 50% of time on visible leadership with technicians
• Attend shift meetings to relay machine status and priorities
• Support safety/reliability improvements with PM/reactive technicians
• Manage work orders and operating systems
• Assist continuous improvement initiatives with the crew
