Job summary

Redwood Living in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Neighborhood Service Specialist to provide hands-on maintenance, operational support, and onboarding of new technicians, ensuring standards are upheld and resident satisfaction. This role is a mobile resource filling in at neighborhoods with vacancies, works with Regional Managers to ensure smooth operations, safety, and timely repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• EPA/HVAC certification is required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Fill in at sites with Service Technician vacancies.
• Onboard and support new Service Technicians on policy and procedure.
• Perform site inspections under Regional Manager direction.
• Obtain bids, interview contractors, follow up on projects.
• Assist neighborhood teams as needed.
• Repair and maintain facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• Perform light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall tasks.
• Prepare vacated apartments for release quickly and professionally.
• Direct vendors on repair needs and grounds maintenance.
• Respond to resident concerns with timely, professional service.
