Job summary

Mohawk Valley Health System is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform daily rounds, respond to calls, and ensure operation of building utilities. The role includes snow removal, preventative maintenance, and minor construction tasks, under supervision from the Maintenance Supervisor or Facilities Manager.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of trades experience, with strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years tradesman experience preferred.
• Familiar with safe use of hand and power tools.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds to check HVAC units and building utilities.
• Respond to maintenance and emergency housekeeping calls with minimal supervision.
• Locking and unlocking of the building.
• Operate snowplow and perform snow removal from walkways.
• Complete preventative maintenance programs and PMs on equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and notify management of issues.
• Complete various projects including Lt construction, remodeling, painting, power washing.
• Perform housekeeping needs on an emergency basis in common areas and suites.
• Address maintenance requests in SEMC spaces (lights, hanging pictures, repairs, etc.).
• Perform other duties as required.
