General Summary

• Reviewing client job scope.
• Ensuring safety procedures and documentation compliance.
• Managing job equipment and tooling prior to site arrival.
• Achieving or exceeding client quality and production expectations.

The Field Machinist sets up and operates portable machine tools for on-site repairs and machining at client locations. They execute operations following approved site and company procedures, and may lead less experienced technicians after training. Continuous skill development is required.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment, adhering to safety standards and legal regulations.
• Perform assigned duties aligning with TEAM’s Core Values.
• Conduct field machining tasks such as pipe cutting, flange resurfacing, drilling, line boring, key-way cutting, shaft turning, and bolt removal.
• Identify safety needs and document all activities as required.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial field machining experience.
• HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Travel: 0% - 75%.

Work Conditions

• Based in a branch or site location.
• Work involves indoor and outdoor environments, often around noisy machinery.
• Must wear safety equipment and tolerate climate changes.
• Travel may be required.
