Job summary

Control Solutions Group, Inc., an EMCOR Group company, seeks a Low Voltage Installation Specialist to join our Salt Lake City, Utah team. You will assist in installing the physical infrastructure of advanced building automation systems, including conduit, wire, and sensors, and gain hands-on field experience.

Experience with controls, BMS, BAS, DDC, Building Automation, Building Management, EPMS and Energy Management Systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in low voltage installations, preferably building automation.
• Basic understanding of electrical codes and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installations at various new construction and retrofit project sites across Utah.
• Assist in the installation of low voltage conduit and cabling, including pulling, terminating, and labeling.
• Assist in the installation of building automation control devices and sensors such as thermostats and flow meters.
• Perform point-to-point check-outs, basic diagnostics and maintenance under guidance of senior technicians.
• Troubleshoot and repair building automation system panels and related equipment.
• Collaborate with technicians and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review project documents and confirm approved scope with senior technicians or Project Manager.
• Document commissioning and daily reports and maintain as-builts.
