Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground (using paint and flags). We will train you on the job and provide 100% paid training for success. You must enjoy outdoor work, be independent and solve problems quickly and accurately.

Starting pay is $22.00 per hour. Vehicle with fuel card is provided, plus PTO, paid holidays, a safety shoe voucher program, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2–3 times a week.
• Lift up to 25 lbs; up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think safety first in all tasks.
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers and homeowners.
