Job summary

Cobb Electric Membership Corporation in Georgia is seeking a Line Foreman to lead skilled crews and drive safety and reliability in our distribution system. This hands-on leadership role combines field work with coaching and performance management.

You’ll oversee construction and maintenance, ensure highest standards, and mentor team members. A 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule supports work-life balance while delivering critical power to communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years in electric utility line construction/maintenance.
• 3+ years as a Journeyman/First Class Lineman.
• Advanced knowledge of live-line work, distribution systems, substations, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee construction, installation, and maintenance of our distribution system.
• Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
• Stay ahead of the curve by learning and implementing new technologies and equipment.
• Assign personnel and equipment to maximize productivity and safety.
• Lead daily tailboard meetings to reinforce safe work practices.
• Jump in and perform line work when needed—this is a working leadership role.
• Maintain accurate time, material, and system records.
• Resolve customer inquiries with professionalism and urgency.
• Lead all aspects of team management: hiring, coaching, development, and performance reviews.
