Job summary

Miller Pipeline is hiring for Operator & Foreman duties to repair, maintain, and construct natural gas distribution pipelines. The role involves planning daily activities, supervising crew members, coordinating with support staff, and ensuring safety and quality standards on-site.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass testing. CDL is a plus, and travel across the area may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior heavy equipment operating experience.
• Ability to pass computer-based testing.
• Current driver's license with good driving record.
• Current DOT physical or ability to obtain one.
• Interact effectively and professionally with the public, customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Travel throughout the area and respond to emergency situations.
• Experience with pipeline or underground utility work.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and delegate the daily work activities among crew members.
• Identify potential problems; develop and implement solutions.
• Enforce Company policies and standard work procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment problems.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment is assigned to, and completed by, the crew.
• Communicate with support staff regarding time worked, safety and productivity measures, accidents and injuries, and property or vehicle damage, for proper handling and tracking of these activities. Complete daily data entry.
• Handle minor customer complaints and inquiries. Escalate issues to the superintendent or general foreman, if necessary.
• Ensure that the overall quality of work performed by the crew meets or exceeds standards and expectations.
• Review the terrain to determine the best method to perform the job.
