Job summary

Knickerbocker Group seeks a proactive Site Manager to lead field execution for residential and light commercial projects in the Boothbay, Maine region. You will coordinate activities, manage schedules, and uphold KG standards while maintaining safe, organized job sites.

The role emphasizes strong communication, planning, and hands-on leadership. Travel to project sites is required, with compensation aligned to experience and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in field coordination and supervision on residential or light commercial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and shop drawings.
• Experience coordinating crews, subcontractors, vendors, materials, and schedules.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build relationships with clients and teams.
• OSHA 10 certification is preferred or required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee day-to-day construction activities aligned with plans, specs, schedules, safety, and KG standards.
• Develop and communicate short-term plans and look-ahead schedules for teams and partners.
• Lead site-coordination conversations; address sequencing and challenges.
• Monitor progress, labor productivity, material needs, site conditions, and milestones.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized jobsite and high standards.
• Review work, identify deficiencies, and implement timely solutions.
• Provide clear direction and feedback to employees and trade partners.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to align field execution with scope, schedule and budget.
• Maintain field documentation: daily reports, photos, schedule updates, field variations.
• Communicate progress and potential impacts early; offer a path forward.
• Support punch lists, closeout, warranty work, and transition to client.
• Perform carpentry or other project-specific work when needed.
