Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Denver, CO is seeking a Layout Surveyor to perform routine site layout tasks on a project or portion of a project. You will plan and maintain layout control, establish building corners and permanent reference points, and verify elevations for roadways and utilities.

The role requires 2+ years of layout experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel. You will work with field teams to verify alignments, set benchmarks, and assist with as-built drawings

Qualifications

• 2+ years construction layout experience required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, sets up, and maintains layout control for projects.
• Establishes building corners and permanent reference points.
• Verifies elevations for roadways and utilities.
• Lays out column center lines and wall locations.
• Verifies exterior skin is not encroached by main structure.
• Plumbs structural steel frame and checks alignments.
• Sets/maintains benchmarks and control lines on each floor.
• Conducts as-built surveys to verify placement and identify conflicts.
• Coordinates with contract drawings and resolves discrepancies.
• Maintains and calibrates layout equipment.
• Compiles project records and as-built documents.
