Job summary

Tuskegee University is seeking a GWCAES Research/Field Technician I, II, or III to support research and demonstration units. The role involves field and/or laboratory work, data collection and analysis, and helping prepare sites and supplies per detailed instructions.

Successful candidates will assist with research logistics, data/samples, and may supervise students or others in related tasks. Travel and occasional after-hours work are possible as part of project requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree and/or experience in agriculture or a related discipline.
• Willingness to travel; ability to work field and lab tasks.
• Able to work independently under supervision and follow guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct non-routine experiments and investigations.
• Assist with data collection, curation, and analysis.
• Prepare laboratory or field sites per instructions.
• Inventory supplies and check shipments.
• May instruct students or supervise research.
• Participate in unit meetings and demonstrate activities.
