Job summary

Clemson University in Charleston, SC seeks a staff member to assist the Vegetable & Strawberry Entomologist and lab team with laboratory, greenhouse and field research. You will coordinate and carry out field and lab experiments, ensuring policies are followed and data is collected accurately.

Primary duties include research support, data entry, maintaining colonies and plants, and contributing to safety and inventory management. This is a time-limited staff position with on-site work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in animal husbandry, agriculture or a related field.
• Experience in agricultural research or animal care.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field, greenhouse and laboratory experiments.
• Collect and enter data for experiments.
• Maintain insect colonies and research plants and clean work areas.
• Assist with safety, inventory and ordering paperwork.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain lab records.
