Job summary

Anchorage Sand & Gravel Co., Inc. in Alaska is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to sample and perform laboratory and field testing on concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregate, block and cement to ensure compliance with ASTM/ACI specs in a fast-paced QC laboratory.

The role requires representing the company to customers and third-party agencies and preparing reports for internal or agency use. Willing to work 6 days a week with long hours and early start times; requires a High School

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic math, record keeping, and computer skills.
• Preference for certification (ACI, NICET, NCMA, WAQTC) and lab/field testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Sample and perform laboratory and field testing on concrete, asphalt, soil, aggregate, block and cement.
• Ensure compliance with ASTM/ACI specifications and standards in a QC lab.
• Represent Anchorage Sand & Gravel to customers and third-party agencies.
• Prepare reports for internal distribution and/or specific agencies.
