Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to perform field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and pile monitoring in accordance with project specs. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience, dependable transportation, and the ability to pass a DISA drug screen and background check.

Preference is given to those with ACI, NICET, or TxDOT certifications.

Qualifications

• +3 years of experience in Construction Materials Testing.
• Must have dependable transportation, truck preferable due to incentive program.
• Must be able to pass a DISA drug screen.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• TWIC card (preferred).
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment.
• Capable of maintaining an "On Call" type schedule and must be willing to work obscure hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory tests such as concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, casting cylinders for compressive strength).
• Soil compaction testing using sand cone or nuclear density gauge.
• Proctor, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, and other soil classification tests (as applicable).
• Asphalt density testing and pavement core sampling.
• Pile monitoring during installation to document capacity, penetration, and blow counts.
• Produce timely and detailed reports.
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow our corporate safety procedures at all times.
• Follow all company''s procedures and protocols.
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
• Build positive relationships with clients.
• Arrive at the job site to which you are dispatched, on time each day.
• Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis.
• Communicate with onsite clients each day and relay any information to management.
