Job summary
AMG Tech Support is seeking hands-on IT/Telecom technicians to support our national client base with tasks ranging from OS installs to structured cabling. This role goes beyond a desk job and involves on-site work across multiple industries, with on-call responsibilities and a 1099 contractor arrangement.
You will travel within your territory, maintain professional client interactions, and use time-tracking tools for job and travel logs.
Qualifications
- Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Minimum one year IT/Telecom experience with relevant certifications or extensive field experience.
- Ability to perform OS installs, diagnostics, cabling, and telecom tasks across diverse sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform OS installations, hardware diagnostics, and software setup.
- Structured cabling including drilling, wiring, and dressing cables.
- Telecom work such as punch-downs and demarc extensions.
- Work independently across retail, medical, restaurant, and corporate environments.
- Be on call and respond to service requests within territory.
