Job summary

Ethos Risk Services is seeking an Experienced Field Investigator to conduct surveillance and gather evidence for potentially fraudulent insurance claims. You will perform stationary and mobile surveillance, collect video and photo evidence, and prepare thorough reports for clients.

The role involves regular early starts, long hours in a vehicle, and travel within a 2-hour radius of residence, with occasional overnights covered by the company.

Qualifications

• Proficient in covert surveillance techniques and high-quality video capture.
• Owns a valid driver's license with proof of automobile insurance.
• Owns a reliable vehicle (preferably tinted).
• Has handheld camcorder with zoom and covert camera; stabilization gear encouraged.
• Has a laptop, cell phone and internet for communication and admin tasks.
• Active Private Investigator license or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Case Preparation: Review preliminary reports and case information.
• Field Surveillance: Conduct covert surveillance and capture high-quality video evidence.
• Report Writing: Draft detailed, court-ready investigative reports.
• Documentation: Finalize case file and upload video footage.
• Communication: Coordinate with field supervisor and operations teams.
