Job summary

Ethos Risk Services is seeking an Experienced Field Investigator to conduct surveillance and identify potentially fraudulent insurance claims. You will perform stationary and mobile surveillance, obtain high-quality video and photographic evidence, and prepare thorough reports for clients.

This independent role often requires long hours in your vehicle, travel within a 2-hour radius of residence, and weekends/holidays as cases dictate. An PI license is preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Experience in covert surveillance and producing investigative reports.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Reliable personal vehicle with dependable condition.
• Handheld camcorder with zoom and covert camera capability.
• Stabilization equipment (gimbals, tripods) encouraged.
• Active Private Investigator license or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surveillance assignments by reviewing case information.
• Perform covert surveillance from vehicle to capture video evidence.
• Draft detailed, court-ready investigative reports summarizing activity and findings.
• Finalize case files and upload video footage and reports.
• Coordinate with field supervisor and operations for guidance.
