Includes a base salary of $54,200.00 - $81,400.00, which may vary based on location and candidate qualifications. Position may also be eligible for additional compensation, including incentives.

Job Description

The Field Inventory Auditor conducts physical audits for NextGear Capital’s Risk organization and supports the Operations team managing dealer accounts. This role requires a professional with strong customer service skills and the ability to assess client business health through physical and financial audits.

The auditor evaluates risk by reviewing sales documents, inventory audits, and dealership behavior, delivering findings to various stakeholders and resolving issues like missing financial info or inventory.

Responsibilities

  1. Establish rapport with dealers on-site to perform comprehensive risk assessments, which may involve visits to multiple locations.
  2. Investigate and document dealership processes to identify risks.
  3. Inspect collateral through lot and title audits, assessing dealer equity and health.
  4. Verify inventory to mitigate risk and grow the portfolio.
  5. Present findings to dealers and take next steps such as re-education, trend review, or documentation collection.
  6. Assist Recovery team with repossessions, including collateral collection, securing inventory, arranging transportation, and monitoring receivables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 4 years’ related experience without a degree.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 75% on short notice.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the auto industry.
  • Spanish language skills.
  • Audit or inspection experience.

Physical Demands

  • Walking, sitting, standing for extended periods.
  • Computer work, occasional bending and lifting.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Work Environment

  • Travel approximately 100% of the month with a vehicle stipend.
  • Work outdoors on dealership lots.
  • Possible air travel up to 10% of the month.
