Job description

• Verify merchandise and cash in Company stores through physical counts using a handheld computer
• Notify store managers of incorrect prices and remove out-of-code merchandise
• Count and record cash, checks, food stamps, register contents, TACC tubes, and safe contents
• Verify money orders, lottery ticket inventory, and bank deposits
• Verify gasoline inventory by sticking tanks and checking for water
• Conduct surveys to verify compliance with operational and financial procedures
• Follow safety procedures, rules, and regulations
• Work independently with little supervision
• Perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1 year of inventory auditing experience or retail experience in a convenience store environment
• Valid driver’s license with no major offenses
• Current liability car insurance
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs
• Occasional overnight travel may be required
