Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Field Insurance Agent in Pittsfield, MA. You will sell personal lines insurance to members who contact us by phone, online, or in branch, while undergoing paid training and licensing with costs covered by AAA Northeast.

You’ll gain knowledge of various carrier products, work with underwriting and QA teams, and build client relationships to expand AAA Insurance services. A strong emphasis on customer service, growth, and compliance is noted throughout the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years sales or customer service experience required.
• Insurance sales experience preferred.
• Outbound or cold-calling experience strongly preferred.
• Personal Lines Insurance License within 30 days required.
• Life License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sell insurance products and services, meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Interact with members in person at the branch, over the phone and online.
• Compile coverage and rating information and confirm underwriting criteria, coverage, and premium data.
• Provide members with product and premium proposals that fit their needs.
• Develop leads and prospects by responding to referrals.
• Maintain prospect files in the CRM system.
• Develop general knowledge of Life products for referrals to licensed agents.
• Follow agency processes and quoting/binding procedures and process member payments.
• Work with QA and Underwriting to minimize errors.
• Provide AAA Five Diamond service to all Insurance clients.

As a Field Insurance Agent, you will acquire the necessary knowledge to achieve licensing in Personal Lines, with all training and costs covered by AAA Northeast. Once licensed, you will sell personal lines insurance products to members who contact us over the phone, online, and in retail branches.

What You Will Do

• Insurance Sales Responsibilities:
• Sell insurance products and services, meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Interact with members in person at the branch, over the phone and online
• Compile coverage and rating information; confirm insurer underwriting criteria, coverage, and premium data
• Provide members with product and premium proposals that best fit their needs
• Develop leads and prospects by responding to referrals in a timely manner
• Participate in sales programs and maintain prospect files in the CRM system
• Develop general knowledge of Life products for referrals to licensed agents
• Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities:
• Develop familiarity with various insurance carrier products, services, technology and processes
• Follow agency processes and procedures in quoting and binding coverage, and processing member payments
• Work with Quality Assurance and Underwriting departments to minimize error and omission exposuresGain general knowledge of insurance practices, including the scope of an agent’s authority
• Member Service Responsibilities:
• Provide AAA Five Diamond service to all current and prospective AAA Insurance clients
• Services new Insurance accounts by processing payments, researching underwriting criteria and acting as liaison with Insurance Companies
• Build professional relationships with clients, insurance company representatives, dealerships, real estate agents, etc., to ensure success of AAA Insurance and to broaden community knowledge of AAA Insurance products and services
• Gain knowledge of the AAA Northeast membership and its benefits to be able to offer and sell to clients

Qualifications
