Job summary

Beyondmpd seeks an MPD Field Technician in Houston to repair, maintain, and calibrate MPD equipment, including valves, lines, chokes, and instrumentation. The role covers troubleshooting software and hardware on-site and remotely, with preventive maintenance checks and active field support.

The position requires 2–4 years of field service experience, travel to customer locations, and the ability to work on call as needed. Relevant post-secondary education is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of field service experience.
• API requirements knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair, overhaul, and pressure test MPD equipment per standards.
• Troubleshoot software, firmware, and hardware on site and remotely.
• Inspect equipment and perform preventive maintenance checks.
• Maintain tools and develop knowledge in their use.
• Travel extensively to customer sites for field support.
• Install, test, and operate MPD Control System on rigs.
• Calibrate and repair instrumentation measuring process variables.
• Document all problems, maintenance, and transfers.
