Job summary

Topographic, Inc. is seeking an Instrument Technician to perform essential field duties across control, topographic, and boundary surveys as part of a small crew. You will be responsible for instruments, data collection, and interpreting plans at assigned sites.

You will read plans, identify measurement errors, and ensure safe operation of tools and equipment while traveling to various worksites as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in controlling the function of surveying instruments and calculators.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of basic sources of measurement errors.
• Demonstrates safe working/operating methods of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• The Instrument Technician must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in the field.
• Work primarily in the field on control, topographic, boundary, and other surveys as part of a 2–3 person crew.
• Travel to worksites may be required.
