  • Overall management of construction activities and task assignments:
  • Interfaces with other contractors to ensure all required materials, equipment and inspections support the project schedule.
  • Works with Project Manager(s) to manage field labor, equipment, materials, small tools, consumables, and general working environment.
  • Coordinates with customer with site specific needs and maintains positive relationship.
  • Reviews construction documents for completeness and constructability.
  • Creates, reviews and updates project schedule.
  • Coordinates plans and specifications with project managers.
  • Executes site utilization plan and ensures proper engagement of assigned crews or external resources.
  • Participate in pre-construction planning sessions and project site meetings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Overall management of construction activities and task assignments:

  • Coordinates with customer with site specific needs and maintains positive relationship.
  • Reviews construction documents for completeness and constructability.
  • Creates, reviews and updates project schedule.
  • Coordinates plans and specifications with project managers.
  • Executes site utilization plan and ensures proper engagement of assigned crews or external resources.
  • Participate in pre-construction planning sessions and project site meetings.
Oversight and supervision of work crews:
  • Establishes and nurtures teamwork environment with internal employees and contract employees.
  • Coordinates and provides general oversite for contracted crews from multiple companies.
  • Ensure crews have resources and support.
  • Provides work direction and performance evaluations.
  • Maintains relationships with all visitors to the site: customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, etc.
  • Manages site work and logistics efficiently, providing suggestions for improvement

Training Required
  • Completes PCM Training.
  • Completes Industrial Safety and lock out/tag out.
  • Completes company LEAN training and participates in Kaizen events as needed.
  • Understands Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements and how it applies to this position as determined by ISO 9001 and to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Completes Kasa Process Manual training.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Degree from an accredited college or university; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related management or technical field preferred.
  • Experience in management of industrial construction projects preferred.
  • Experience in technical field related to industrial systems and processes preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook required.
Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instruction, either written or verbal, diagram or schedule.
  • Maintains an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and subordinates in a one-on-one and/or group setting.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and dimensions.

Work Environment

This position operates in an office and/or job site setting. It routinely requires using standard office equipment, such as computer, phones, copiers, fax machines etc. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm, but are project work dependent. Evening and weekend work are typical as required by job duties demand .Travel is required. Start-ups or job site setting hours will vary based on project and location. On-site startup and commissioning of systems. May involve 10 to 20 hour shifts per day as required to meet specific start-up schedules
