Lifeway Mobility in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an Accessibility Installation Technician to join our field team. You will install and repair wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, and ceiling lifts, loading the company vehicle each morning and communicating clearly with customers.

This full-time role offers hands-on training, paid time off, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for growth through our Academy, with occasional Saturday overtime and no overnight travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle to job sites.
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Load the company vehicle each morning and deliver/install products.
• Install and repair accessibility products, including ramps and lifts.
• Explain projects to customers and answer questions.
• Enter work orders and inventory data into the system.
• Receive paid manufacturer training and hands-on learning.
• Work independently or in a two-person team.
• Occasional Saturday overtime; no overnight travel.

Accessibility Installation Technician

Location: Charlottesville, VA
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturday overtime)

What You’ll Do

• Pick up and load the company vehicle at our location each morning
• Install and repair accessibility products, including wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, and ceiling lifts
• Explain the project to the customer and answer any questions they may have
• Enter work order and inventory data into our system (basic computer skills required)
• Receive paid manufacturer training and hands-on learning to develop your skills
• Work independently or as part of a two-person team
• Jobs may range from a few hours to a few days—no overnight travel required
• Occasional Saturday overtime available

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience using hand and power tools

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 75+ lbs. and work overhead for short periods
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors year-round
• Able to climb ladders, crouch, and occasionally work in confined spaces and at heights
