The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Field Install Manager to lead the fire sprinkler installation and service teams. This role oversees field operations, coordinates projects, and ensures on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety standards.

You will schedule manpower, review hours with Service Trade, manage costs, and collaborate with sales and design to prepare accurate quotes. WA Journeyman license and NICET II+ preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• WA State Journeyman license is required.
• NICET II or higher in Fire Sprinkler and OSHA 30 preferred.
• 5+ years in fire sprinkler installation or project management.
• Managerial or supervisory experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Schedule manpower, material, equipment, and sub-contractors for projects.
• Review project hours and track using Service Trade for reporting.
• Manage project costs to maintain profitability.
• Write MOPs and coordinate with high value customers.

Job Summary:The Field Install Manager oversees and manages the field operations for the Fire Sprinkler Installation and sprinkler service departments. This position is responsible for coordinating projects, confirming projects are meeting their budget labor hours, performing quality control and safety checks to adhere to compliance regulations and ensure the field operations team collaborates with other departments to achieve operations success.

Pay Range: $43.00/hour - $59.00/hour. The posted salary range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position at the time of posting and is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual starting pay will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, education, internal equity, geographic location (where applicable), and market considerations. Not all candidates will be hired at the top of the posted range. The posted range reflects base salary only and does not include any applicable bonuses, commissions, overtime, or the value of employee benefits. Eligible employees may participate in the Company's benefit programs, subject to the terms and eligibility requirements of each plan.

Job Responsibilities

• Schedule manpower, material, equipment, and sub-contractors for construction projects.
• Review project hours and update project information using Service Trade for accurate tracking and reporting.
• Request Material quotes for requisitions, order material, generate hand take off as necessary.
• Manage project costs to maintain profitability.
• Write MOPs to provide a thorough workflow plan to all high value customers.
• Schedule and attend AHJ Inspections. This includes progress, overhead, pressure testing and final inspections.
• Plan and schedule training sessions for installation technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Communicate daily with the installation/service technicians to ensure project(s) progress and address any issues promptly.
• Communicate project status during working in progress meetings.
• Support monthly project reviews with department leadership and accounting to assess project performance and recommendations for improvement as needed.
• Attend weekly construction kick-off meetings.
• Ensure installation/service technicians comply with all safety procedures.
• Conduct safety audits to identify potential hazards and make recommendations for corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure all installations meet all code and regulatory requirements. Make recommendations for improvement as needed.
• Collaborate with leadership to conduct job walks with the sales team to assess project requirements and provide accurate cost estimates for quotes.
• Collaborate with the Design department by conducting surveys to support project planning and execution
• Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma is required.
• Must have WA State Journeyman license
• NICET II or higher in Fire Sprinkler highly desired, along with OSHA 30
• 5+ years’ experience in fire sprinkler installation, project management, or other fire, life safety field is essential.
• Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role is highly desired.
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting and general construction required.
• Familiarity with construction manager software; Service Trade, preferred.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations related to fire sprinkler installation.
• Must have problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose necessary solutions.
• Ability to review designs for constructability and identify potential challenges.
